Official rules

No purchase necessary to enter or win. A purchase does not improve your chances. Subscribing to The Valley Weekly is free.

Who runs it. The November Giveaway is run by The Valley Weekly, operated by Neal Quesnel in western Massachusetts. Prize sponsors are named with their prizes above.

Who can enter. Legal residents of Massachusetts who are 18 or older when they enter. Neal Quesnel, anyone who works on The Valley Weekly, the owners and staff of each prize sponsor, and the people living in their households cannot win.

When. Entries open November 1, 2026 at 12:00am Eastern and close November 30, 2026 at 11:59pm Eastern.

How entries count. Each subscriber whose subscription is confirmed at the close holds one entry. Each friend who subscribes through that subscriber’s share link and confirms their subscription during the entry period adds one entry. A friend counts once, for the person whose link they used, and only while they remain subscribed at the draw. There is no limit on entries earned this way.

What does not count. Addresses you own or control, made-up or throwaway addresses, and signups made by software do not count. We review entries before the draw and may remove any we reasonably believe break these rules, and may disqualify the person who earned them.

The draw. Winners are drawn at random on Tuesday, December 1, 2026, from all eligible entries, each entry with an equal chance. One person can win one prize. Your odds depend on how many entries you hold and how many are held in total.

Winners. We email each winner at the address they subscribed with. A winner has 7 days to reply and confirm they are eligible, or we draw an alternate. Winners are named by first name and town in the December 8 letter, unless a winner asks us not to.

Prizes. The prizes and their approximate retail values will be listed above before entries open. Prizes are given as described, cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be transferred, except that we may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if a sponsor cannot provide it. Winners are responsible for any taxes. A winner of prizes worth $600 or more will be asked for the information needed to report it.

Your information. We use your email address to run the giveaway and send the letter, as our privacy policy describes. We do not give subscriber addresses to sponsors.

The fine print. This giveaway is not sponsored, endorsed or run by Facebook, Instagram or any other platform it is shared on. We may end or change it if something outside our control, such as fraud or a technical failure, keeps it from running as described. Void where prohibited. Massachusetts law governs these rules.
